Choi Kang-hee takes black ops agent role in upcoming SBS drama ‘Miss Casting’

Choi Kang-hee was most recently seen in the two-season drama Mystery Queen playing an ajumma who wants to be a detective so badly that she teams up with a real one and solve actual cases. She has just been confirmed for a new project with a role that her character in Mystery Queen can find more alluring and interesting.

The actress is going to play a legendary block ops agent in Miss Casting, an upcoming action comedy that tells the story of women who are sent on a mission to expose corporate corruption as undercover agents.

Choi Kang-hee signed up for the role of Baek Chan-mi, a National Intelligence Service (NIS) agent who has a terrible personality. Following an incident in the past that led to the death of her junior colleague and the escape of a criminal, she has been punished by working in the NIS’s cyber security team as a person who leaves malicious comments online. She has thought that her career on the field is over, but one day she is selected to go undercover on an intellectual property case at Korea’s largest company.

Miss Casting will be directed by Choi Young-hoon of Unni Is Alive, Second To Last Love, and High Society. It will premiere on SBS in November as a Wednesday-Thursday drama.
