Perhaps it is because it was the end of 2019 and the beginning of 2020, many are more sensitive to the things happening as we step into a new decade. It has not been that long since we enter 2020 and there are already a few happenings that had taken place in the K-Pop community.
Let’s take a look at what had happened during the transition between 2019 and 2020.
#1 TVXQ ‘s ChangMin dating a non-celebrity with SM Entertainment’s confirmation
On Dec. 30, it was reported by Korean media, SportsTV News that TVXQ’s ChangMin is currently dating a non-celebrity. Later, it was also confirmed by SM Entertainment that the idol is paying special attention to the relationship especially since the female is a non-celebrity.
On Dec. 31, CJ ENM held a press conference and announced that they will be resuming the promotions and activities of both X1 and IZ*ONE. At the same time, they will be giving up on the profits and use it as a fund for future promotions and growth of K-Pop through the operation of an external organization.
On Jan. 1, it was reported by Korean media that Apink’s EunJi and X1’s Han SeungWoo was dating through photos taken a while ago in December 2019. Both of them were seen with masks and speculated that the two were dating.
However, it was later denied by their agency, Play M Entertainment and mentioned that both are just close sunbae-hoobae.
#4 N.Flying to have a new member addition
FNC Entertainment had confirmed at the start of the new year that Seo DongSeong from HONEYST will be joining the band as a new bassist and member. They also shared that N.Flying will be going under various music activities as well as solo concert in the first half of 2020.
On Jan. 2, it was confirmed by both agencies that Super Junior’s HeeChul and TWICE’s Momo are currently dating. There were similar reports that were released in August 2019 but both had actually denied the speculations.
