Ahn Jae-hong and Gong Myung had given their sweet yes for their roles in the new romantic comedy series Melo Suits Me, which already confirmed Chun Woo-hee, Jeon Yeo-bin, and Han Ji-eun as their female counterparts.
Melo Suits Me tells the story of three women in their thirties who struggle with their daily lives and romantic relationships. Chun, Jeon, and Han will portray a scriptwriter, a documentary film director, and a marketing manager, respectively.
On February 28, JTBC confirmed that Gong Myung and Ahn Jae-hong would be starring alongside the three actresses. Melo Suits Me will reunite director Lee Byeong-hun with both actors—as Gong Myung previously worked with the director in Extreme Job and Ahn Jae-hong in Twenty. Director Lee has never helmed a TV series before but he has a good track record in writing and directing comedy films, the most recent (Extreme Job) of which has become a major box office success in South Korea.
Ahn Jae-hong will play Son Bum-soo, a successful drama director who has lost interest in his craft. He meets inexperienced writer Im Jin-joo (Chun Woo-hee) and becomes intrigued by her work. After their meeting, he sees her as a peculiar woman to work with.
Meanwhile, Gong Myung signed up for the role of Chu Jae-hoon, a co-worker of Hwang Han-joo (Han Ji-eun). He is in a bad relationship when he comes across Hwang Han-joo and becomes confused after seeing how different his colleague is from his girlfriend.
Melo Suits Me is scheduled to premiere in Summer.
