According to South Korean news agency Sports Chosun, the South Korean police have now secured enough evidence to have an arrest warrant for former BIGBANG member SeungRi.
The alleged travel expenses that SeungRi paid to eight female adult entertainment employees to his lavish birthday party back in 2015 have now been concluded to be much too high to be looked as just travel expenses.
In addition, SeungRi is also being investigated for embezzlement, as recent news reports from various media have stated that he used funds from Yuri Holdings to pay for the expenses of legal defense for a DJ who worked at club Burning Sun.
New Straits Times reported:
“Testimonies from the women showed that they were not forced to have sex with any male investors who were also at the party and that it was voluntary.
Despite the women not being forced by Seungri to commit sexual acts, the police believe that as the women were not close to him, all the expenses paid indicated to prostitution solicitation.
The police are planning to request for an arrest warrant, for Seungri for prostitution solicitation as well as charging him with distributing illegal footage, tax evasion, embezzlement, and violation the Food Sanitation Act.”
