BTS Beats Celine Dion’s Japan Album Sales Record

Just recently on July 3rd, Big Hit Entertainment boy group BTS released their ‘Lights / Boy WIth Luv’ Japanese edition, making it their 10th single released in the country.

In just a matter of two days, BTS managed to accumulate music streams of 15+ million. We can’t think of many groups in the world who are capable of accomplishing such an achievement that effortlessly. In addition, the release has killed it on the Oricon Charts as the group accumulated a total of 467,000 points.

But the biggest achievement that this release managed to bring about was beating the legendary Celine Dion, who held the title of being the artist to sell the most copies of album in Japan (To Love You More) for twenty-four years.

Congratulations to BTS!
