BTS is a K-Pop idol group that has been able to accomplish things that no other idol groups have ever been able to do. Some people may not know what K-Pop really is about or care unfortunately, but it’s safe to say that they’ve heard of the group’s name at some point.
And the Big Hit Entertainment group’s reputation as the biggest music group of this generation, not just K-Pop, has just become more evident as NASA just recently made an announcement that three of the group’s song will be included on the playlist of the astronauts who are heading to the moon.
50 years ago, NASA was preparing to land humans on the Moon. Now, we’re getting ready to return by 2024. In honor of the #Apollo50th anniversary, we’re making a playlist fit for a lunar journey with @ThirdRockRadio. Til June 28, share a song you’d include with #NASAMoonTunes! pic.twitter.com/FXxHsz5Hjj

Wow, there are a lot of @BTS_twt & RM fans! Thanks for the submissions – we’ll add “Moonchild,” “Mikrokosmos” & “134340” to the playlist! What other songs can we include on #NASAMoonTunes? https://t.co/nM3plxpMfL pic.twitter.com/BL9yBsOwQI
