After producer Ahn JoonYoung’s confession revealing that all four seasons of Mnet’s ‘Produce 101’ had rigged votes, the future of IZ*ONE became somewhat unclear.

With X1 being disbanded, many fans were fearing that the girl group would end up with the same fate.

However, Mnet recently announced on January 23rd that IZ*ONE will be resuming their activities and promotions in February. While that may be great news for fans, some netizens have continued to express their discomfort. They have stated that it’s not the girl group members themselves they are criticizing, but the fact that a group that was made illegally through manipulation is allowed to continue.

“What do you mean they’re not at fault lol. The whole world knows that they’re not the rightful members and if they continue on, how does that make them innocent? The real victims are the trainees who actually won but were eliminated.”

“Still doesn’t change the fact that they are a group made from manipulated votes.”

This does raise the question of whether fans actually even care if the votes are legitimate or not in the first place. What do you think about some of the differences in opinion among netizens?
