Jung Sang-hoon, more supporting cast added for ‘Afternoon Love Affairs’


On April 5, actor Jung Sang-hoon‘s agency JAM Entertainment confirmed that he has accepted a role in Channel’s A’s Afternoon Love Affairs.

A remake of the Japanese drama Hirugao: Love Affairs In The Afternoon, the upcoming show is an evocative and emotional drama about extra-marital relationships. The adults involved in these relationships suffer greatly because of the forbidden nature of their liaisons. Park Ha-sun, Lee Sang-yeob, Ye Ji-won, and Jo Dong-hyuk have been confirmed for leading roles so far.

Jung will play Park Ha-sun’s husband in the show. His character, named Jin Chang-guk, is a welfare chief at the district office of a small town. He moves to the town with his wife after getting transferred. Jung is best known for his roles in Woman of Dignity and My Husband Mr. Oh which earned him recognition in last year’s The Seoul Awards and the most recent MBC Drama Awards. His role in Woman of Dignity also got him nominated for Best Supporting Actor in the 54th Baeksang Arts Awards.

In addition, actresses Jung Ye-jin and Yoo So-jin have also been confirmed as supporting cast for the show. Jung, who made her debut through movies like V.I.P. (2017) and The Witch (2018), was most recently playing Lee Jong-suk’s schoolmate in Romance Is A Bonus Book. She will be playing a painter and curator. Meanwhile, Yoo, who is known for her performance in Woman of Dignity will be playing Jo Dong-hyuk’s wealthy ex-wife and the director of a museum.

Love Affairs In The Afternoon is scheduled to be broadcast in the second quarter of the year.
