Korean drama fans in the Philippines, Malaysia, and Indonesia are in for a treat this month as they can watch the broadcast of Sung Hoon‘s new series, Level Up, on TV without going all the way to South Korea.
It is all thanks to K-PLUS, a cable TV channel which will simulcast the said drama in the three countries less than 24 hours after the original telecast in Korea.
Level Up will be broadcast on MBN every Wednesday and Thursday at 11 p.m. Korean Standard Time starting July 10. It will also be aired on K-PLUS every Thursday and Friday at 8 p.m. in the Philippines and Malaysia and 7 p.m. in Indonesia beginning July 11.
In addition to English, the drama will have Mandarin, Bahasa Malaysia, and Bahasa Indonesia subtitles.
Level Up is a workplace romantic comedy about a corporate restructuring expert named Ahn Dante (played by Sung Hoon of My Secret Romance) who is sent to a gaming company that is on the verge of bankruptcy. There, he meets game development chief Shin Yeon-hwa (Han Bo-reum of Memories of the Alhambra) who is surprised upon knowing that he is the newly appointed CEO of the company. The drama will revolve around the two characters as they develop romantic feelings for each other while saving the company from its financial crisis.
Also starring in the series are B1A4’s Baro (Less Than Evil), Kang Byul (Always Spring), and g.o.d’s Danny Ahn (Big Issue).
K-PLUS is a Singapore-based pay TV channel that airs exclusive Korean entertainment shows in the Philippines, Malaysia, and Indonesia.
