Actor Kim Young-hoon has been confirmed to appear in the upcoming tvN drama Confession.
Confession is a legal series about people who are striving for justice while placing their lives in jeopardy. Its cast is led by 2PM’s Lee Joon-ho (Wok of Love) as Choi Do-hyun, whose father is wrongly accused of murder. For him to prove his father’s innocence, he becomes a lawyer hoping he can save his father from the death penalty. The series is highly anticipated as tvN previously released shows with a similar genre, with viewers tagging Confession as the next Signal or Secret Forest.
Kim Young-hoon will play Park Si-kang, a nephew of the president of South Korea. Due to his status as the president’s relative, he feels entitled. He is also described as someone who cannot handle his anger very well. This new character of Kim is something viewers are anticipating. How his character will fare against Lee Joon-ho’s on-screen persona is also something to watch out for.
Other cast members for Confession include Yoo Jae-myung (The Smile Has Left Your Eyes), Shin Hyun-bin (Mistress), Nam Gi-ae (Encounter), and Yoon Kyung-ho (Trap).
Kim’s last TV project was the 2018 JTBC drama The Beauty Inside, where he portrayed the role of a second-generation chaebol. He made his acting debut in 2001 and gained popularity in 2011 through his performance in KBS2’s That Man Is There and JTBC’s Kimchi Family.
Confession will air every Saturday and Sunday beginning March 23.
