Lee Joon-ho, Yoo Jae-myung confront each other in new stills from ‘Confession’

On March 5, tvN’s Confession dropped tense new stills from its scenes, featuring leads Lee Joon-ho and Yoo Jae-myung.

In the still cuts, Yoo Jae-myung, who plays detective Ki Choon-ho, is dressed in casuals and blocking Lee Joon-ho’s path. Lee plays prosecutor Choi Do-hyun, and is coming out of a trial dressed in all-black formals as part of the prosecutor’s office dress code. The two actors seem to be having an argument, as they look daggers at each other. Even in a still and the absence of any dialogue, one can feel a tense aura coming off of the two actors’ body language and expressions.

Directed by Kim Cheol-kyu of the critically-acclaimed 2018 series Mother, Confession is a legal thriller revolving around individuals who seek the truth in the face of the principle of ‘double jeopardy’, according to which cases which have been ruled upon once cannot be heard again.

The show recently released character teasers for Lee and Yoo’s characters in an argument about the aforementioned law, with Lee arguing that a court’s decision is more important, and Yoo batting for catching a criminal quickly because his case won’t be heard again. Going by the teasers, the two actors will have several confrontation scenes, but fans are also looking forward to their bromance in the show.

Shin Hyun-bin (Mistress), Nam Gi-Ae (Haechi), Yoon Kyung-ho (Trap) make up the additional cast of the drama, which is set to premiere on March 23 and succeed Lee Jong-suk’s Romance Is A Bonus Book.
