Oscar winning film ‘Parasite’ has not only shown how the poverty stricken people live, but also how the filthy rich live as well.
The breath-taking gorgeous props for everything inside the luxurious home of the Parks was extremely expensive, so much that director Bong JoonHo revealed that his production designer had a nervous breakdown on a daily basis during the process of creating the film, out of anxiety that anything might break.
The crew members had to be extra careful every day on the set.
For starters, the table in the living room cost approximately $20,000.
Next up is the kitchen table.
The table costs $22,300.
But look around the table as well. The chairs? The lamp? The painting? The chairs reportedly cost $2,100 individually, the lamp was $14,000, and the painting was worth a whopping $120,000.
There was even a German-made trashcan that was worth $2,300.
Director Bong JoonHo, who also happens to be rich himself, stated:
“The trash can cost $2,300. It was made in Germany. My crew members and I were like what the ****! What idiot buys a trash can for that amount of money when it’s going to smell anyway?”
