Park Ji-hoon will be participating in the upcoming JTBC historical drama Flower Crew: Joseon Marriage Agency.
Fans of the Korean pop star who rose to fame after his runner-up finish in the second season of Produce 101 are excited to see his performance in his first drama since appearing in the reality show and becoming a member of the boy group Wanna One.
Based on a novel of the same title, Flower Crew: Joseon Marriage Agency is a fusion sageuk about a king who, in an effort to protect his first love named Gae Ddong (literally means “dog poop”), tasks a dating agency called Flower Crew with transforming her into a noblewoman. Seo Ji-hoon (Mama Fairy and the Woodcutter) and Kim Min-jae (Great Seducer) were confirmed earlier to play the king and one of the handsome men working for the Flower Crew, respectively, while Park Ji-hoon will take on the role of Go Young-soo, the “coolest, most fashionable man in Joseon” and another member of the matchmaking agency.
Park Ji-hoon is widely known for being a former Wanna One member, but he also had his roots in acting. Prior to having a career in music, he started as a child actor for dramas including Iljimae, The King and I, and Jumong. This time, he will return to the small screen not as a child actor but as an adult with mature charms.
Flower Crew: Joseon Marriage Agency, is scheduled to air on JTBC in September.
