‘Train to Busan’ director to pen tvN’s upcoming occult thriller ‘Method’

Movie director Yeon Sang-ho who directed the hit zombie thriller film Train To Busan will be making his debut as a drama screenwriter. Penning a screenplay is not new to the award-winning writer-director but he has never done it before for a TV series.

Cable network tvN announced on July 17 that Yeon Sang-ho will write the script of its upcoming occult thriller initially titled as Method. He would join the production team of the said series “not as a director but as a writer.”

Method centers on Forest, South Korea’s largest IT company which succeeded with an evil spirit behind it. The spirit is hatching a plan that poses a threat to humanity, a truth that is discovered by a girl with superhuman skills and a reporter with a strong sense of justice.

Actress Uhm Ji-won (Falsify) is in talks to star as the reporter in the drama.
