YG Entertainment recently announced that WINNER member SeungYoon would be missing out the group’s performance during SBS’s ‘Inkigayo’.
According to the agency, SeungYoon injured his neck during rehearsals and was taken to the hospital shortly after to receive treatment. The K-Pop idol has been advised by both YG Entertainment and the medical staff to rest
YG Entertainment has also released an official statement and apology.
“We regret to inform everyone that WINNER will not be able to perform during SBS’s ‘Inkigayo’.
Kang SeungYoon suffered from a slipped disk neck injury while standing by for rehearsals, and was taken to a nearby hospital for emergency treatment.
SeungYoon has shown a strong willingness to perform in order to keep the promise he made to fans, but has been advised by the agency and medical staff to focus on recovering.
We felt that it was best for him to rest up so that the pain wouldn’t become any worse.
We apologize to all the fans and viewers who were waiting to see WINNER, and we will ensure that SeungYoon returns after he fully recovers.
